Dr. Paolino is currently the Director of Clinical Research, Institute for Global Health and Translational Sciences, an assistant professor at Upstate Medical University, a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, and an American College of Physicians fellow. He leads or participates in all clinical research and provides medical consultation and guidance for the study team.  Dr. Paolino’s focus and passion are the prevention and treatment of infectious disease and clinical research affords him the opportunity to move the field forward.  He has been a leader in the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme and Tick-Borne diseases in Central New York since 2016. He has been the local principal investigator for Lyme related diagnostic, treatment and vaccine clinical trials, and has recently joined the Columbia University Clinical Trials Network for Lyme and Other Tick-Borne Diseases in an effort to further advance treatments for patients with Lyme and Tick-Borne disease related illnesses.
