Dr. Eleanor Saunders is an Infectious Diseases physician at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. For the past two years she has been working on the epidemiology of alpha-gal syndrome, previously as an ORISE fellow in the Rickettsial Zoonoses Branch at CDC. She continues as a member of the lab of Dr. Scott Commins.
Dr. Saunders received her MD & MPH from the UNC School of Medicine and UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, completed residency in Internal Medicine at Bellevue Hospital/NYU Langone Health, and completed fellowship training in Infectious Diseases at UNC.
